About
Nikki de León, brought up in Kaiserslautern (D),  currently working in Cologne, Germany
studied architecture, interior design, product-, furniture- and exhibitiondesign, in general as interdisciplinary as possible  to complete with a masters exhibtition "Faux Naïf - On the naive view on Functional Art and Object Design".
Graduated Master of Arts at the Campus for Art and Design in Trier, Germany in 2018.

The focus of her work is on naive observation and the deconstruction of expectations in definitions. In the form of sculptural objects, forms in space and her own language of signs and lines in painting, she addresses the expectation and curiosity of the individual and questions the ability to observe without bias.

"Nikki de León on the Naive view - unbiased realities.
An unbiased person does not expect definition before experience. One learns it for oneself, defines it without external influence, independent, unique and yet variable in  the individual. The unprejudiced curiosity develops an individual expectation, unique reality. An expectation in definition- by definition.  In the current discourse, it is what makes people look for friction caught in definition without the naive unbiased. Forgotten the possibility of the nativity of individual existing realities and the variability in definition.  Why not manifest the own expectation in definition of individual reality? How can one observe  in an unbiased way? As a result how does it feel to contemplate completely outside ones own frame of definition? How can things be, what they are?"
